A SensorGIS is a standardised WebGIS which receives its data from a wireless sensor network. The sensor network consists of sensors that transmit their data in an autonomous fashion to a database residing on the internet. During this process short range radio can be used to transmit data from an individual node to a central gateway from where the data is ultimately transferred.

The starter kit consists of a multi-hop enabled, wireless sensor network, an OGC standardised map in a web mapping client based on free geodata and a database.

SensorGIS starter kit modules

The software is supplied on a Live-Linux CD and can be run on any machine (Windows, Linux, Mac). The starter kit is shipped in a ruggedised transport case and is ready for use within minutes. For further information on the starter kit please see our brochure.
