Technology
What we use!

Our technology is focused on the use of open source software. This does not mean that we are not able to integrate our systems into existing infrastructures. We have developed applications that run on Oracle or MS SQL database server systems, which use a proprietary map server or are hosted on a Windows server. Our core competences lie in the development of HTML5, CSS and JavaScript based client applications while using Java, PHP and other scripting languages for the server side developments.

Our key components are the following:

OpenLayers
The open source web mapping library. We have been involved in the core development since 2010.
GeoExt
A JavaScript toolkit for the development of web mapping applications. We are involved in the basic development and are represented in the Project Steering Committee.
ExtJs
Ext JS is a JavaScript framework for developing interactive web applications. Since 2010 we have been using ExtJs for all our frontends.
GeoServer
Together with our partner companies Boundless and Geosolutions we offer operation guarantees through maintenance contracts.
UMN MapServer
The proven CGI Webmapping server with almost unlimited possibilities.
PostgreSQL/PostGIS
We have been using PostgreSQL / PostGIS since 2004 successfully in our projects. Together with our partner companies Boundless and Geosolutions we offer operation guarantees through maintenance contracts.
SHOGun
Shogun is a service-based web mapping framework developed as a middleware between client and database, that is able to manage webclients interactively. Shogun was developed using the frameworks Spring JAVA, JAVA Hibernate, OpenLayers and GeoExt.
QGIS
As a desktop GIS we use QGIS. There are close ties to core developers of QGIS, so that we can offer the development of QGIS extensions.
