On 2nd of June from 6 pm to 9.30 pm, the opening event oft the GeoSummer 2016 will take place in the House of Education (Haus der Bildung), Mühlheimer Platz 1, Bonn.

The opening event’s topic will be “Agenda 2030 for sustainable development – What does this mean for the geo information sector?”

This year, there will be two international geo conferences in Bonn. Next to the European Association of Remote Sensing Laboratories (EARSel), there will be the Conference on Free and Open Source Software for Geospatial (FOSS4G) in Bonn.

Till Adams, general manager of terrestris GmbH & Co. KG and chairman of the FOSS4G 2016, will present the FOSS4G conference in a lecture at 6.15 pm at the opening event.
